Amazing...

At the Festival of Trees decorating day I was amazed when I saw all the work that went into making this beautiful tree. Tonight I met the designers from Classic Style Designs and they said that they worked on this tree for a year...Amazing!
They do have a few of their beaded ornaments for sale on etsy -ClassicStyleDesigns.etsy.com

To see more detail enlarge the pictures...

When I got home tonight I was so inspired by this tree that I added some pearls to a glass glittered bird...it only took me an hour... :)

Cute and Festive

Today was tree decorating day for the Everett Providence Hospital's Festival of Trees. Our theme for this year's tree was "Live Life one Cupcake at a Time."

Many of the cupcake ornaments and accessories under the tree are from Joyworks.
Everybody loved the pink and white ribbon that says," Some things just require cake."

New York Cupcakes donated a very nice gift certificate and the adorable cupcake pajamas were donated by Missy from PJ Salvage.

It was a group effort but I would like to give Jill a special thanks for decorating this super cute tree. Every year she decorates almost all of the trees at Joyworks and does a wonderful job.

The cupcake crew...Amy,Sandi,Jana,and Jill.
There are many fun events planned for the Festival this week located at the Everett Event Center.

Sweet Shoppe

Tonight I turned a pink church that my mom bought on sale at Target last year into a Sweet Shop. We thought it would be cute to put under the cupcake themed tree that we are decorating for the Providence Hospital's Festival of Trees tomorrow.

Just a few changes...
I put a cupcake ornament in place of the steeple, embellished the trees with pink balls, added a wreath, moved the steps, added a door knob, made a cute sign, snow accented the roof, added a little white tree, candy striped the fence posts, made a mini cupcake, and covered with mica and glitter... okay maybe more than a few changes... :)

I thought it turned out pretty sweet...

Home for the Holidays

Let the Holiday's Begin!
I've been home all week and can't wait to go to the store tomorrow.

I have run out of glue sticks...but not before I made these trees out of books.
As I was folding away I kept thinking wouldn't be funny is someday in the future a relative of mine took them to the Antique Road Show and they said that this first editions would be worth thousands if the weren't folded into trees...

Come to Historical Downtown Snohomish today for a great day of shopping!
Santa arrives at 4:15pm.
Joyworks is open until 9:00pm.
On Friday night everything in the store is 10% off from 4-9:00pm.

Stop for Turkey

A few weeks ago I was on a nice drive around Whidbey Island with friends when I spotted this great metal sculpture.
I asked my friend if we could make a quick stop so I could take a picture for my Thanksgiving blog post.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful day to stop and have dinner with family and friends and be thankful for the blessings in all of our lives.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The Giant Cupcake

A few years ago my sister received the pan to make the Great Cupcake...so cute!

I asked to borrow it to use it as a form to make a very large cupcake out of paper mache.
Well yesterday I finally made it and I didn't even ruin the pan... :)

On Monday we are decorating a 4 foot cupcake themed tree for the Everett Providence Hospital's Festival of Trees.
I think it will make a simply delicious tree topper.

When Life brings you Snow...

Make Snowmen!

Today I'm snowed in and can't make it to the store...we had quite the little blizzard in Seattle yesterday.

Actually I'm having fun relaxing and crafting. I haven't made snowmen for awhile so it was fun to pull out all my vintage supplies.

I'm loving this new vintage inspired tinsel that we sell at the store...$5.49 for a 5 yard roll.

Ice Skates

I love using vintage ice skates in Christmas displays.
My husband Dean called me at work on Friday and said he was at an Estate Sale and did I still liked ice skates...
Of course I said, "Yes!...Buy them all!"
At Joyworks we have many styles of ice skate ornaments.

I can't believe it's snowing today...
