Cheap Canvas

My husband's uncle Ruby is an artist and always looks at the thrift stores for his canvases. What a great idea! Large canvases can be expensive, so when I found a large 36" square canvas with a bad fish painting on it for $5.00, I was thrilled.
Today I painted over the painting with a primer and then covered it with chalk board paint. I thought it would be fun for the store to have a large chalk board surface to write on...a portable wall!
