Bird Cages...

We are seeing them on quite a few things this year.

On pictures...

and Pillows...

We are also seeing them on cards,jewelry,notepads,towels,etc...

One of my favorite things in my home is one of my bird paintings hanging in a bird cage...

Rainy Day...

At the Beach!
So Different from yesterday where everybody came out to play.
Love this vintage inspired beach scene canvas which we carry at the store.

It was still beautiful but I spent most of the day inside...

The water was so calm it would have been a perfect morning to take the row boat out.

But instead I watched the birds...

Brought the oars inside and set up a new lamp from Joyworks...

Painted a couple of pictures...



And drank lots of coffee and looked through many magazines.
It was a nice and relaxing day.

Sunday Style

On Sunday mornings I love to get up early and watch my design shows on HGTV.
One of my new favorites is Secret from a Stylist.
Emily the designer does a style diagnostic of each couple and determines their individual styles and blends them together to get the perfect look for their space.


Dean and I have very different tastes and it has been a challenge to combine the two...but I must say that after 13 years my look is starting to take over.

I think Emily would say Dean's taste is Mid Century Mexican Blanket and mine would be Cottage Chic.

Our combined look would Mid Century Cottage Blanket...I think that might work... :)

Backyard Bounty...

I always look forward to this time of year when the
Rainier Cherries are ready.

Lucky for me that my neighbor's tree hangs over into my yard... :)

You can quickly take something plain and make it into something special.

Today I took an ordinary fedora...
and made it extraordinary!
