Blue Angel Day

My day started by going to an estate sale down the street and finding this Blue Vintage Santos from Spain. (I like to think she looks like an angel.) I couldn't believe my luck... she will be a great display piece in the store.

This weekend is Seafair in Seattle.
Today my friends Nancy and Todd invited us out on their boat to watch the Blue Angels perform. I was so excited because this is one of my favorite things to do, especially on a hot summer day.

We are waiting on Lake Washington....Yea!! Here they Come!

The Blue Angels put on such a great show!! They fly so fast and low sometimes you can even see the pilot. It's loud but to me that's what makes it so exciting...
WOOOOOO!!!!

1-2-3-4

Numbers are becoming quite popular in Home Decor.
I looked around the store for numbers and saw very few...I couldn't even find five...

We have house numbers...which would be cute in a bowl.

Number Tags...These would look great tied onto bottles.

And...

Clock Face Flash Cards...Lots of Numbers... :)

I think the count is too low and I'll look for more numbers to add to the store...
Maybe some Number Pillows,Vintage Sign Numbers,etc...

Joyworks is Hot

It was a HOT one today at the store...

It wasn't just me...

The store temperature at the counter was up to 90 degrees...

We had lots of fans...

We kept hydrated and a special thanks to Kay for misting us with her spray bottle...

At the end of the day I'm sure we all were as pretty as the flowers from Jill's garden...well maybe not... but we definitely were HOT!

Love Boats

Tonight we had a late night dinner on the deck of a restaurant in Seattle. The view was so beautiful and it was cool! We just couldn't get over that we didn't need a sweater sitting next to the water...now that doesn't happen here very often.

As we looked at the boats in the marina it really made us want a boat again...especially on these hot days of summer.

Someday...

Seattle Beach Walk

On this warm summer afternoon, my husband and I picked up iced coffee from Starbucks and walked down to the beach. The tide was in so we weren't able to look for beach glass but it was nice just sitting on a log and gazing into the water.

We were talking about beach glass and Dean said all he sees is broken beer bottles...
I said, "That's funny, all I see is wonderful old broken bottles tossed in the sea and aged to perfection."

Snohomish Garden Tour

Every year we are invited to the Snohomish Garden Tour Preview because we sell tickets for them at Joyworks. Tonight it was a special treat to walk through all these wonderful gardens on this warm summer evening. Over the years Snohomish has become well known for it's beautiful gardens and the tour is quite popular. This year there are nine gardens on the tour and they are all in the historical district.
The Garden Tour is on Sunday, July 26 - Noon-5:00pm

Mom and I had a great time and we think you would too...

You can buy tickets at Joyworks on the day of the tour.

Quite the Catch

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to go crabbing with my friends Cheri and James. They have a wonderful beach cabin on Whidbey Island, Washington.
Let the adventure begin...
