Wheels...

My husband collects Hot Wheels and I haven't been very excited about it until I saw this idea...
I asked him if he had any trucks I could have and I quickly painted them and added mini trees...so cute!

Good Junking Day...

I didn't get very much of my Christmas shopping done today but I did have fun junking...  I found a vintage Underwood typewriter!

 An awesome large vintage stamp...I couldn't believe when I turned over and it said...SEASONS GREETING !

 A large snowman light up to add to my collection...

I know it's cuter in black and white... but it was only $2.00 and I might be able to tone it down with a little glitter... :)

The JOY of decorating...

When I received these great book letters made by Sandi in the Joyworks gift exchange I knew they would look great on my mantle.
We sell these book letters for $12.99 without glitter.

Today I made a garland out of ribbon,linen strips, and vintage shiny brites.
The combinations of colors and fabrics are endless.

 So easy and cute!

I also made this button star for sweet Rosemary who comes in every year at Christmas and wants to buy something I've made...she has quite the collection since I've been working at Joyworks for 20 years... :)

It turned out pretty cute and I hated to give it away for my Joyworks gift but I am collecting more vintage jewelry so I can make another for me... :)

Christmas at the Beach...Part I

 This year we decorated the beach house with aqua and red for the Joyworks Christmas Party!

 I love decorating with bottle brush trees at Christmas.

 We always carry a nice supply of them in many shapes and colors.

Boot Cuffs

 I was looking for cute boot socks on etsy and pinterest the other day and saw boot cuffs.  Immediatly I loved the idea because you could wear your thin socks,skinny jeans, or leggings and just add the cuffs at the top of your boots.

 This year I have been making sweater vases so I had a few extra sweaters to play with.

 I simply cut a band that would fit around my leg and hand stitched the ends together.  For fun I added lace and buttons.

 I thought they turned out pretty cute... :)
