Rose Bowl Flea Market

For many years I have wanted to go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena.
So on this trip to California I made sure I was there on the second Sunday of the month. The day was very hot and there was so much to see. I knew going in that I couldn't buy very much because I had no way of getting it home...bummer. I did a quick sweep and here are some of my pictures.

I had a great trip but it's always nice to come home. The shop looks great and we recieved lots of great new items. This picture was taken in Palm Springs--a fun window!!

A new item we carry from Colonial Candle is Reed Diffusers. They come in vanilla, lavender and evening breeze and are adorned with Austialian crystal stones. So you ask, what do squirrels have to do with Joyworks? Well, it has been an ongoing joke with the girls involving me for quite sometime. I get alot of enjoyment out of feeding them at my home and have quite a few of them that visit. So the girls tease me and call me squirrel girl. Of course we do carry a few squirrels at Joyworks too!!!

"He Delivered"

Pat our friendly UPS man delivered boxes of new merchandise to us today and we couldn't wait to dig in and see what exciting things arrived.



We received a shipment of fun journals, recipe boxes, notepads and even 2009 calenders from Lang. This is just a sampling of them. Don't miss out as I'm sure they will go fast.

"We're Back"

Thank you to all our supporters of Joyworks and our Blog while we have been away. I am back from my weekend getaway and will now try to fill Jana's shoes while she is gone. I spent a fabulous weekend down in Central Oregon for our annual "Girls Getaway" with my mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, Aunt, cousin and friend..... As you can see by the pictures I've shared with you it is beautiful. We were surrounded by snow covered mountains in Sisters, Oregon and had clear blue skies with temps in the 80's. It was amazing and we had so much fun.

Tomorrow I am back at work and am anxious to see what new arrivals we have so I can share them with you. Thanks again for your patience.

Sand Point Antiques and Design Market

Today I met my good friends for coffee before we went to our favorite local antique show at Warren G. Magnuson Park 7400 Sand Point Way, Seattle.--the next one is June 8
if you want to put in on your calendar... We didn't buy too much today but I did get a fun wire bird cage and a lucite hand mirror for my new collection. Cheri bought a cute mouse bank--she's not quite sure why....
