Items made out of reproduction tin ceiling tile seems to be making a come back.
We have new signs,shelves,magnet boards,hooks, wall art and other decorative items.

A Very Special Event

Girlfriend Weekend

This weekend I went to Whidbey Island, Washington with my friends Cheri and Andy.
It was a beautiful weekend for a little getaway.
We started off by taking a ferry to Port Townsend.

We did a little shopping...I found this cute lampshade idea in a little antique shop.

To our surprise it there was a film festival going on and Cloris Leachman was a special guest...she was very entertaining!

Cheri got a henna tattoo...she's so cool!

The next day we went for a morning hike overlooking Ebey Prairie which was just stunning.







After lunch we decided to go check out the Whidbey Island Kite festival at Camp Casey.


It was so much fun to watch the ballet events which are free-flight performances set to musical accompaniment.

When I was young girl my family went to Fort Casey quite often and this was my dream house.

Many years later...I still think it's pretty wonderful!

We had a very nice time...just the girls!

ILLUSIONS OF GRANDEUR

No it's not an illusion ...It's time to start putting up Christmas trees at Joyworks. It takes us about 2 months to decorate the store which includes all six windows. We always start with a pretty tree in what we call "the white room". I set the stage and prep while Jill performs her magic and creates beautiful trees.


This year we were inspired by Wendy Addison's paper and mirror ornaments and her wonderful angel from Seasons of Cannon Falls.

We decorated the tree with gold and silver and cream colors. The ornaments are glitter stars,birds,words,crowns,music, and some handcrafted items.

Make a Stand...take 2

When displaying pumpkins I love putting them on a stand.
After my post yesterday, I was informed by my friends at work that I could do better.

I am one happy girl!!

Puyallup State Fair

It was a beautiful day to go to the fair.
One of my favorite things was going into the barn that hosted the Puyallup Fair Museum and looking at all the old photographs and vintage fair posters.
