Hostess Gifts

For many years I have given paperwhite bulbs for hostess gifts but this year I decided to do something a little bit different. I was cruising blogs and came across www.thevintagerabbit.typepad.com
and found this great idea. She took tall jar candles and embellished them with vintage Christmas goodies.
So today I went to my local grocery store and found these inexpensive candle jars in two sizes and rushed home to get busy crafting.

I photo copied vintage postcards, attached them with glue, and added ribbon, tinsel, glitter, and ornaments.

Then I had this idea to wrap a sweater band around one of them and spiff it up with tinsel and this great jingle bell garland that we carry at the store.

There are so many options that I can make them special to fit the personality of each hostess.
